Description

Step straight into the story of country music at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville — a 350,000 sq. ft. cultural hub that places instruments, handwritten lyrics, stagewear and studio recordings under one roof. Start with the multi-floor Sing Me Back Home timeline and move through curated galleries that trace country’s roots in 19th‑century Appalachian folk to the Urban Cowboy era, the 1990s boom, and today’s chart-toppers. Standard admission includes access to the Hall of Fame Rotunda, the Taylor Swift Education Center and current rotating exhibits — including Lainey Wilson: Tough as Nails (on view through June 2026) and Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker (May–September 2026) — both included with museum entry. Optional audio guide (small add-on) narrated by WSM personality Bill Cody is available in multiple languages to enrich your self-guided visit. On-site dining and shopping let you plan a relaxed 2–3 hour visit, and downtown parking with museum validation makes arrival straightforward. The museum is open daily 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and is located steps from Broadway at 222 Rep. John Lewis Way S. Book timed tickets in advance to skip lines and plan to arrive at opening to explore before mid-day crowds. Practical promises: See major Dolly and Lainey artifacts without separate tickets; explore the Hall of Fame plaque rotunda without long waits; enjoy accessible exhibits and elevator service even if mobility is a concern. Seven quick traveler concerns addressed: luggage/large-bag policy; parking validation details and rates; average visit length; re-entry and membership options; audio guide language availability; daytime accessibility and wheelchair availability; guided-tour upgrade availability. Reserve timed entry now — galleries close promptly at 5:00 PM so allow time to see the upper floors and archives.
