Description

The world's most famous whiskey is made 80 miles south of Nashville in a county that cannot legally sell alcohol. This seven-hour day trip takes you there and back in a climate-controlled coach, with a guided distillery tour and premium whiskey tastings at the source. You will stand on the grounds where Jack Daniel's has been made since 1866 and taste single-barrel expressions not available at a standard retail bar.

Your day starts with a downtown Nashville pickup near Rep. John Lewis Way South. The coach heads south through the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, arriving in Lynchburg with about 90 minutes to walk the historic square, browse local shops, and grab lunch before the distillery tour begins. Your guide is on board the whole way, sharing the history of Tennessee whiskey and the unusual legal geography that makes Moore County a dry county despite hosting one of the most recognized distilleries in the world.

At the distillery, your group walks the full grounds including the cave spring, barrel houses, and the charcoal-mellowing caves that define the Lincoln County Process. The tasting covers the full lineup from Tennessee Whiskey to premium single-barrel selections, guided by a knowledgeable on-site host who explains what makes each pour different.

The coach departs Lynchburg after the tour and returns to downtown Nashville by early evening. You are welcome to bring your own drinks on the bus for the ride. Closed-toe shoes are required on distillery grounds. A valid ID is required for tastings. This tour does not offer cash refunds on cancellations, but a credit voucher valid for future use is available.

The tour runs Thursday through Sunday and operates rain or shine.
