Description
This is not a cocktail tasting. You will build three full-size Old Fashioned cocktails from scratch at your own professional station inside Tennessee Whiskey Workshop's intimate East Nashville studio. Led by Chris Mallon, a 25-year Nashville hospitality veteran and President of the United States Bartenders' Guild Nashville Chapter, this 90-minute hands-on class teaches you skills you will actually use at home.
Your session follows three progressive builds. You start with the Classic Old Fashioned, learning the proper ratio, stir technique, and ice selection that separates a great drink from a forgettable one. Next, you shift a single ingredient and discover how one small change creates an entirely different cocktail. For your final build, you craft your own interpretation using seasonal syrups, unexpected bitters, and your personal palate as the guide.
Every guest works at their own dedicated station with professional-grade bar tools, glassware, and premium Tennessee whiskey. Groups stay small at just 12 guests maximum, so you get real instruction, not a crowd watching someone else pour. Zero-proof versions are available on request with the same technique and experience.
The workshop is fully indoors and runs rain or shine. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to build craft cocktails at home, not just a recipe card. Located at 407 Gallatin Ave in the heart of East Nashville, the studio is just minutes from downtown with free street parking available nearby.
Tennessee Whiskey Workshop holds a 5.0 Google rating with over 1,500 five-star reviews. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID. The 48-hour cancellation policy provides a full refund for changes in plans.
